2025 Jayco fifth wheels Pinnacle
2025 Pinnacle wheels crack
Owner reportWheels
- Symptoms
- NHTSA complaint ODI 11765025, filed September 17, 2026, on a 2025 Jayco Pinnacle, says the owner found the front and rear passenger-side wheels cracked while inspecting the trailer. Roadside assistance replaced the damaged wheels. The dealer confirmed the cracks, replaced a wheel, and the failure came back. The owner wrote that the manufacturer was told by phone, a case was opened, and the mileage was about 5,000. On the Jayco Owners Forum, Rob_Fla wrote on November 9, 2012, that a left-rear rim cracked with a pop while moving a fifth wheel off Lynx levelers. The dealer ordered a rim from Jayco. The owner ordered a retail rim so the trip would have a spare. That post does not state a model year. A reply on March 13, 2013, names a 2012 36 REQS whose left-rear rim cracked through two spokes, whose other rim was out of true, and whose tire wore to the cords on the inside.
- Likely causes
- The 2025 complaint says two passenger-side wheels cracked and that a replaced wheel cracked again. It does not include a shop measurement of the metal. The 2012 posts describe cracked rims on earlier coaches. Rob_Fla's post does not give a model year. The March 2013 reply names a 2012 36 REQS. 2012 is not a Pinnacle year on this site. The posts do not show one cracked wheel on every 2025 Pinnacle, and they do not show that the 2012 rims and the 2025 wheels are the same part.
- Common fixes
- Look at the wheels before a trip, including the back side of the spokes. Cracked passenger-side wheels are what the 2025 complaint describes. If a wheel is cracked, do not keep towing on it. In that complaint, roadside assistance replaced the wheels, the dealer replaced a wheel, and the crack came back. Ask the dealer to look at every wheel, not only the one that already failed, and ask whether the visit is warranty before the next trip. The 2012 owner drove about 150 miles to finish a weekend, then ordered a retail rim because the dealer rim would take weeks. That drive, with a cracked rim, is that owner's choice. It is not a recommendation. The bedroom-slide crack report on 2018-2020 Pinnacles is a different page.
- DIY difficulty
- Looking at the wheels is something these owners describe. Replacing a wheel, in the 2025 complaint, was roadside assistance and a dealer. There is no published procedure here.
- Parts needed
- No Jayco part number is named. The 2025 complaint describes the passenger-side wheels. The 2012 posts describe an aluminum rim the dealer ordered, a retail rim, and, in the March 2013 reply, a steel wheel and a tire.
- Warranty notes
- This is not a recall. The 2025 complaint says a case was opened and does not say who pays. The 2012 owner wrote that the dealer ordered a rim and does not say Jayco paid. A complaint is not a coverage decision for another Pinnacle. The year on this page is 2025, which is the year the complaint names. The forum coaches are a 2012 thread and a 2012 36 REQS.
