Read the recalls.

Official recalls and owner reports

Recall search and a campaign such as 26V-667 return official NHTSA campaigns. A model year on a campaign is not proof a VIN is included. Owner reports are not official NHTSA recalls. Each report cites a public complaint, bulletin, forum thread, or manufacturer page. It is not a failure rate, a diagnosis, or a repair procedure.

Base URL https://www.rigfixhq.com/api/v1. OpenAPI lives at /api/v1/openapi.json. CORS is open. Responses cache for a day on the CDN. 120 requests a minute per IP, shared with the MCP endpoint.

• GET /api/v1/recalls — Search official NHTSA recalls by brand, model, year, or vehicle.
• GET /api/v1/recalls/{campaignId} — One official NHTSA recall. The id is the public campaign number, such as 26V-667.
• GET /api/v1/brands — Brands this site tracks.
• GET /api/v1/brands/{brand} — One brand and its models.
• GET /api/v1/models — Models. Pass brand to limit the list.
• GET /api/v1/models/{brand}/{model} — One model, its years, and the official NHTSA recalls on file.
• GET /api/v1/owner-reports — Owner reports. An owner report is not an official NHTSA recall.
• GET /api/v1/owner-reports/{slug} — One owner report. This is not an official NHTSA recall.
• GET /api/v1/index — RV Recall Index computed from official NHTSA campaigns. More recalls does not automatically mean a brand is less safe.
• GET /api/v1/index/{month} — One dated edition of the RV Recall Index, such as 2026-10.
• GET /api/v1/answers — Recall answers.
• GET /api/v1/answers/{slug} — One recall answer.

https://www.rigfixhq.com/mcp speaks Streamable HTTP and keeps no session. Tools: search_recalls, get_recall, list_brands, list_models, get_owner_reports, get_answer, get_recall_index. search_recalls and get_recall are official NHTSA recalls. get_recall_index is the RV Recall Index. get_owner_reports is not a recall.

Markdown

Recall, brand, model, year, owner-report, and answer pages have a markdown copy. Add .md to the path. The HTML page links it with rel="alternate" and type="text/markdown".
