# Schwintek slide failures reported on Reflection floor plans

Owner reports are not official NHTSA recalls. Each report cites a public complaint, bulletin, forum thread, or manufacturer page. It is not a failure rate, a diagnosis, or a repair procedure.

## Symptoms

NHTSA complaint ODI 11590780, filed on a 2022 Reflection, says the large slide that holds the fridge and dinette uses a Schwintek mechanism that failed and that the owner paid for the repair. The complaint asserts the 28BH floor plan has this problem. That is the complainant's claim. A separate owner post about a 2024 Reflection 367BHS says the bedroom slide would not retract, a dealer replaced a motor after calls with Lippert and Grand Design, and the slide then would not extend fully.

## Likely causes

The 2022 complaint calls the Schwintek mechanism inadequate. It does not include a measurement or a Lippert diagnosis. The 2024 post says the dealer and Lippert were involved and does not state a root cause.

## Common fixes

The 2024 post says the dealer replaced a motor and the slide still would not extend fully. The 2022 complaint says Grand Design's attempt was a temporary fix and the owner paid. Neither source is a repair manual.
