# Frame cracks and spring-hanger damage reported on Reflections

## Symptoms

NHTSA complaints filed on Grand Design Reflection fifth wheels describe frame damage. ODI 11707769 (2019) describes cracks on both frame sides and bent outriggers. ODI 11548361 (2020) describes rear drop brackets, which attach the leaf springs, breaking off. ODI 11677222 (2021 Reflection 303RLS) describes cracks in the I-beam near the axle spring hangers. ODI 11751026 (2022) describes the rear wall detaching from the frame. ODI 11690780 (2024) says a dealer told the owner the frame was bent. Grand Design's frame FAQ discusses excessive flex on larger Solitude and Momentum fifth wheels and does not name Reflection.

## Likely causes

These filings describe what the owners found. They do not establish one cause for every Reflection. The company's frame FAQ, which is about Solitude and Momentum, lists loading, road impacts, hitches, and manufacturing variation among factors that can add flex.
